About bonnie...
Wine is one of the oldest plants in the world, more than 100,000,000 years ago there were already several species of wild vines. Not only the Romans but also poets and millions of others have found their fascination in those juicy grapes.
So where would we be without wine?
Hard to imagine a new years without champagne, a steak without red wine, and a summer breeze without Rose, or just spending time with close friends and a glass of Chardonnay. It’s a medium that is usually consumed with others, in a social context and in combination with friends you enjoy spending time with.
We love wine!
And even though you can drink it anywhere, we felt there is not yet the right place and setting, where you can drink your favorite ones, really learn more about wine from experts, and also enjoy spending time with interesting people in an exclusive setting.
That’s why we founded the bonnie wineclub.
About Hendrik...
Gude! This is what we say in the Rheingau, Germany’s most prestigious wine growing region, and where I am from, in the mornings and in the evenings.
I grew up on a vineyard, helping on all the steps of wine production as a kid, from cleaning bottles, to cutting shoots, and harvesting the wine. Besides my studies in Agricultural Economics and a 3 year stint in a imagery analytics start-up focusing on agriculture, I haven’t spent my professional career in connection with wine or agriculture, but I truly enjoy wine and know the passion wine makers put into the production.
Today, after an MBA at INSEAD, and some years at Deutsche Bank, I run Instabox.io in Germany, an e-commerce logistics business, focusing on fossil free next-day delivery in our own network of parcel lockers.
My Interests:
Sports (Tennis, Golf, Marathons), Music (all kinds), International Red Wines, German Riesling
MyFavorite Wine:
Carmenere Gran Reserva 2018, Baron Knyphausen
My Favorite Wine Region:
There are so many regions I like to drink wine from, some include: Rheingau (of course), Mosel, Rioja, Tuscany and Bordeaux.
My Wine Knowledge:
I am not as professional as many might think, and I also have not had many international wines, but I think I know the in-s and out-s. I just really enjoy learning about the process and I have a special love for heavy red wines.

My Favorite Wine Region:
I love Tuscany in Italy, Saint Emilion in France, and Western Cape in South Africa for Red and I love Riesling from most German Regions
My Wine Knowledge:
I am passionate about good wines and possess knowledge of different wine types, even describing which grapes I prefer. However, blind tastings can reveal my limitations as I am unable to taste anything. Despite this challenge, my love for wine remains strong, and I continue to explore different varieties while expanding my knowledge on the subject.
